How It All Began
My expertise in style and fashion comes from 30+ years in the retail industry. My passion for the ever-changing world of fashion trends is what inspired me to pursue a career in retail. But, the fulfillment of helping a customer look beautiful and feel confident in a new outfit put together by me is what inspired me to pursue my own business as a stylist. Trust me, every time you book with me, we’re successfully helping each other live out our life dreams: Yours is great style, and mine is helping you find it!
With a Business Degree from San Diego State University, I worked at Nordstrom through college and was identified by leaders in the industry as someone with a talent for tracking trends and successfully targeting customers’ fashion needs and desires. I have an extensive history with small and large retail companies, working in Women's, Men's, Kids and Home from salesperson to Buyer to General Merchandise Manager, all in stores and the corporate buying setting.
Nordstrom (11 years)
Marshall Field's (8 years)
Macy's (2 years)
Sears (2 years)
Meijer (5 years)
I’m grateful to my early career for helping me identify the strengths that have made me a successful female entrepreneur and have made Michelle Krick Style a successful passion business.

A Little about me…
As a mom of 2 boys, I spend much of my time “momming”. I attend their sporting events, school activities and care for our home & family. We love to play board games, card games, visit the local library and snuggle up for family movie nights. We live in East Grand Rapids where we enjoy neighbors & friends and we regularly look forward to our family trips to visit my sisters and their kids in Austin, Texas, where I grew up.
Some of my favorite pastimes include reading books & playing the piano and regular yoga & dance classes. On a more glamorous side, I am obsessed with Broadway Musicals. As the season opens, you will find me clutching my season tickets for Broadway GR while attending fabulous shows at the Civic Theatre & Circle Theater. With great friends in tow, you may also find me at amazing local events at Meijer Gardens, Art Prize or Celebration Cinema.
What’s It Like To Work With Me?
My passion is helping women build confidence through their own personal style. By honing in on your likes, dislikes, favorites and lifestyle, I will help you tailor a look that is fresh & current. I love creating systems that simplify the process and work for today’s busy woman. When your closet is set up well, dressing and styling an outfit becomes simple & stress free. I will help you not only look amazing, but you will feel amazing too.
Have I mentioned I am an accessories queen? Through my many years of work in styling, I have discovered that understanding accessories is a huge struggle for many women. Once an outfit is chosen and put together, the accessories are the icing on the cake. I will take my knowledge & experience and teach you how to place the final touches to complete your outfit!
My background in psychology & generally calm disposition are a good fit for anyone working through feelings or struggles around body image and wardrobe. I’d love to support you with patience, kindness & understanding as we process the deeper meaning of style and how it can affect your well-being.
How It All Began
I’ve been working in retail & styling for almost 20 years.
After earning my undergrad degree in Business Finance & Management from Trinity University and a Masters in Psychology from American University, I started working at Nordstrom. It was here that I fell in love with personal styling.
After a few years of personal shopping at Nordstrom, I realized that shopping is only one piece of the puzzle – we needed to add in the closet organizing, purging & styling full looks. I set out to start my own personal styling firm, Style Speaks, in the Washington, DC area that I ran for 8 years.
When I came to Grand Rapids, I took my acquired knowledge of business and fashion and opened my very own jewelry and accessories shop—Iris Boutique. Running Iris Boutique for 7 wonderful years in the Uptown community will always be one of the joys of my life. I’m thrilled to get back to my personal styling roots as part of the premier team at Michelle Krick Style.

Event Planner
A Little about me…
Hi, I’m Deb Clark, and fashion has been my passion for as long as I can remember. It’s more than just clothing—it’s about creativity, self-expression, and the confidence that comes from feeling great in what you wear.
Outside of fashion, I love bright colors, theater, and sports—especially football and golf! My husband, David, and I became devoted fans when our son Mack played for the Rockford Rams, and we still attend their games. If I hadn’t pursued fashion, I’d probably be an ESPN announcer!
I’m also a proud cat mom to my rescue brothers, Sonny and Romeo. My Instagram is a mix of fashion, sports, and cat videos—because why not?
What’s It Like To Work With Me?
I know the idea of having a stylist can sound intimidating, but I promise it’s nothing like that. Fashion should be fun, personal, and all about you. Together, we’ll create a wardrobe that fits your lifestyle, budget, and personality—whether that means embracing bold colors or keeping it classic.
The right colors, silhouettes, and styles can transform the way you look and feel. I’ll help you highlight your best features and take the guesswork out of getting dressed. My goal? To make styling effortless and stress-free so you feel amazing every day.
How It All Began
With over three decades in the fashion industry, I’ve built my career around helping people find confidence through style. I earned my Fine Arts degree from Moorhead State University, which led me to work as a buyer and merchandise manager for specialty stores like Gantos and Leigh’s. These roles allowed me to travel, meet designers, and curate collections that excited clients.
Along the way, I’ve worked on everything from directing footwear presentations for Wolverine Worldwide (even appearing on the Home Shopping Network) to serving as an adjunct professor of Fashion Merchandising. One of my proudest achievements was styling Couture for a Cure, a premier fashion event benefiting the Van Andel Institute.
With my experience, I bring a blend of creativity and practicality to every client. Style isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s about finding what works for you. Let’s create a wardrobe that makes you look and feel your best!
Rachel Roberts
Makeup Specialist
A little about me…
As a licensed esthetician and breast cancer survivor, it has become my goal to live a clean, healthy lifestyle. I have taken my passion for beauty, make-up artistry & skin care and married it to the ability to find what works for myself and my client’s particular skin, with a focus on natural elements where I can.
I have two beautiful children, and an incredible husband, whom I’ve been married to for 20 years. We enjoy family time at our cabin as much as we can.
To me, the human face is a blank canvas-- just waiting for the artist to take up her brush and create. As a young person, it was not unusual for me to spend 45 minutes completing my eye makeup. In other words… my eye makeup was my daily art expression. To say skin care and make-up is a passion of mine is an understatement!
I have an expansive career in beauty that crosses paths with large corporations, local retailers, well-known brands, and independent consultants, both in the US and abroad. I look forward to taking all that I know, bringing it to the table, and teaching you how to make the most of your personal skincare and make-up routine.
What’s It Like To Work With Me?
There are so many products out there, and I will help you find the best one’s that work for YOU! Let me take the guesswork out of cosmetics & skincare and make it practical, workable and affordable.
We will explore:
Age-appropriate skin care
A 7-10 minute morning make-up routine
Editing outdated cosmetics
Some of my key philosophies include:
Enhancing your own natural beauty is key.
I want you to feel confident in your own skin. That means a good representation on the outside that matches how you feel on the inside.
The focus is what works for YOUR particular skin, with an emphasis on natural ingredients when possible.
Your make-up looks as good as the skin underneath. Sleep and hydration matter. Why do you think it’s called beauty sleep!
Setting up a fresh, up-to-date make-up and skin care plan are all part of what you can look forward to. You will learn what works for your skin color, your tone, your genetics, and your lifestyle. I will teach you what you need to know, and then together, we will come up with a plan that works for YOU.
How It All Began
I struggled with my own skin as a teen, and my love of make up and cosmetics started when I used Clinique to help me with my challenges. I was immediately drawn to helping others solve their skin problems and I knew this was the right career for me.
My 25 year career started by working for Origins counter at Hudsons. I loved the natural ingredients focus of Origins, but was also drawn to the creative artistry of counters like Mac and the clinical skin care that Clinique offered. After a year at Origins, I moved to the Clinique counter for 3 years. I focused on knowing all the counters to develop my artistry and incorporating a focus on a clean aesthetic of the skin as a base, then adding the artistry of the make-up to create a beautiful face.
The next 6 was spent at Smooch, a local boutique that focused on many different brands, lines, and philosophies, along with services. That’s when I fulfilled my Aesthetician license and provided services of eyelashes, facials, lashes, spray tans, along with make up lessons. I even spent time in Paris with a brand called Decleor for extra training!
I was then diagnosed with breast cancer, so I took time off for myself and healing. After missing what I loved to do, I worked at the Estee Lauder counter at Younkers for a year, and then I at Leighs for a year.
My next focus was Freelance work. I did make-up for weddings and special events. I also freelanced with Trish McEvoy doing events, which is where I spent so much of my time teaching and training clients. While freelancing, I also worked at Evereve.
I love what I do, and together, we will create your very own, very personal work of art.
